Selling my House!

Ohhh what a mad few days I am actually aching all over, busy getting my house ready to put on the market.. I have got to get in shape I feel like my whole body has seized up :o/ I use to be a really mad DIY fanatic but in the last 10 years being on my own with 2 daughters still living with me its been a struggle and well I guess when you don't have the funds to keep on top of things, everything looks old and drab.

So I finally summoned the energy to stain my poor thirsty floorboards, I have a really big through lounge and its a lot of floor to cover but I did it! and I am really happy with it... As usual my Camera does not do it justice but well you can get the general idea...
Then I realised that the woodstain I Paid £25.00 (and thought that was outrageous) was so worth the money I stained 2 floors the one in the photo and a huge back dining room and there was loads left so I decided to stain the 4 dividing doors between the 2 rooms which were looking really orange and dull I am amazed how far this is going... so I then did my lounge door and the top of my white sideboard and I still have enough left to give the floors another coat tomorrow... so well worth the £25.00... B&Q Quick drying woodstain! is the best and the great thing about it is it has no SMELL!

Its Bloody freezing in this loft...

I am sat here in the loft (my workroom) and its is absolutely freezing..and the wind is so loud sounds like the roof is about to blow off..
I am having a welcome relief from HOT SWEATS at the moment so because I have been avoiding Jumpers and nylon haha..I am just wearing tee shirts and leggins but I have just had to dig out my reliable Cardi :o/ because working through the night in this cold is awful.
This has to be the worst April ever! the wind is so cold its like it blows right through you...

Oh well the sky looks lovely from my loft window!! Off to get some work done. :o)

Jo and Pauls wedding anniversary!!

2 Years ago my beautiful daughter Jo married Paul!
It was a beautiful Sunny Day....
They were married at the edge of a Loch in Scotland so I just thought I would post a few photo's of their special day.
And say Happy Anniversary!

Jo and my two other daughters Laura and Faye.

My Big sister, little ole Me and My Mum!

The adventures of Summer!!

Every wens thursday and Friday I look after my little precious princess Summer she is my first grandaughter and she is full of mischeif at the moment.
We go for a walk (weather permitting) and on the way back she sits on my next door neighbours step and won't budge.
I have decided it would be a great idea to take a photo every week of her sitting here until she decides its no longer fun lol... it would be great to see her sat here when she is a teenager and show her all the photo's.

This last photo was on friday I took her in the shop and she grabbed a bag of Wotsits from the shelf and took them to the counter lol...(even though she is not really allowed them) This was the only thing that got her off the step this week. :o)

Out to lunch!

Went shopping today and took my two daughters to lunch... (now feeling very bloated) I had homemade steak in a suet pudding, chips and peas it was lovely. Since my oven is broke I do not get the chance to have chips so I thought what the heck.
I really enjoyed it and it was very reasonable too.. they do Sunday dinner for £6.00 so that's my next Sunday taken care of.

I came home, had a rest for an hour and now its time to get working.. I have lots of new designs in my mind for the summer and lot's of new stuff planned for my new shop.
I really want to get away from ebay, although it has been great for the last 5 years the fees and commission charges are just too much but you tend to be stuck because you know it has a good turnover and lots of people get to see my work.... so its hard to go it alone. I

Also want to start selling my bridal stuff but ebay is not the place, people expect a Bargain and for all the work that goes into handmade stuff I really am not prepared to make my stuff cheaper.

Although the other day a lady emailed me and she started off the email with I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your stuff, I have a little girl who would love your clips and bobbles, then she asked... if I bought alot could I have them cheaper, like a £1.00 each I have to admit it really, really Pi**es me off when I am asked this... its like they give you all the flannel and then drop the bomb, its hard to reply with a polite NO... it makes you feel like your working for nothing and some people just don't appreciate the time and effort and Love that goes into what you make... and fortunately it is only SOME people.
Most of my returning customers seem to appreciate my work and it does make me feel really proud and satisfied that I have made a little girl very happy and somewhere out there they are wearing my clips and bobbles...

My Princess!

My Gorgeous Granddaughter Summer is growing fast I cannot believe how quickly she has grown.
I look after her 3 days a week and she has given me a new lease of life (although I feel Knackered lol)
She has recently started frowning and it is so funny... I cannot keep my face straight when she does it.

My Gorgeous Mothers Day cake!

My Daughter Jo made me this fantastic Peppa pigs Grandma cake for Mothers day! This is the girl who said she would never COOK lol... I think she has hidden talents.

She also Made my Granddaugters 1st Birthday Cake.....

Buying Craft Items on Ebay

I love nothing more than to buy new Goodies for my collection of Craftyness... but I find it really annoying when you see an item you like but then the postage is completely unreasonable.
I was looking for buttons today and found loads of Gorgeous ones BUT the postage on some of them was actually more than the buttons themselves.
I know that SOME sellers (and I am not saying ALL) try to make a profit on their postage costs which really pees me off and it definately puts me off buying if the postage is too high.
For example someone was selling 30 Flower buttons for £1.30 and the postage was £1.55 sorry but that put me right off and they were really Lovely buttons :o(

I have a shop and my postage is 75p and I know for a fact that a few buttons do not weigh anymore than my stuff and the parcel would not be any thicker. Don't sellers realise they would definately sell more if they charged reasonable postage rates.
So I have bought some star Buttons and some heart Buttons from Hong Kong 200 hearts for £3.90 and 300 stars for £4.71 and FREE postage... I would rather buy from UK sellers but they need to quit charging over the odds for postage!
Vent over!

I have been busy lately making lots of lovely new things for my shop.
Things are pretty slow at the moment, people don't seem to have the money to spend.
Just when I was considering leaving ebay because the fees are Killing me, and people keep asking me over and over again "Do you do discount" when its there in black and white on my shop page that I do NOT offer it...I find I can't afford to leave.
I think ebay is great, the turnover is good but last night I decided to do a search for my own items and after the 11th page of searching I got really fed up and MY stuff was nowhere to be seen?
I think there must be some problem with my Categories or the "Good till cancelled" feature I need to find out but not sure where to look?

Anyway on a "Brighter" note here are a few of my New listed items... I just LOVE the Colours.
